Club begins six-match home schedule on May 10th
Greenville, SC (February 15, 2024) – The Greenville Liberty Soccer Club has released it 2024 regular season schedule, with the team set to play 12 fixtures in its third season. The schedule features five new opponents following the USL’s announcement that the Liberty will move to the South Central Division in 2024.
The Liberty will open up at home against regional rival Asheville City SC on May 10th, before turning to new opponent, the Southern Soccer Academy. On Tuesday, May 14th the Liberty return home to play Birmingham Legion FC, the sister team to the USL Championship club.
Another familiar side from the Triumph schedule appears on Greenville’s calendar when they travel to CHI Memorial Stadium for a matchup against Chattanooga on May 19th. The Liberty will close out the month on the 31st with a match against Tennessee SC in Paladin Stadium.
Halfway through the season, Greenville will have its first rematch starting with SSA on June 4th. The following Saturday, the Liberty will travel up to Asheville City for a 7:30 PM match. The 2022 South Atlantic Champions are forced with a quick turnaround facing Georgia side, Athens United at home Wednesday, June 12th.
Next, Greenville travels to Athens for a prompt rematch on June 15th and a three-match away stint. After Georgia, the Liberty head west towards Alabama and Birmingham Legion, then Tennessee SC on Saturday, June 22nd.
The Greenville Liberty will conclude its regular season on June 25th hosting the Chattanooga Red Wolves for its season finale.
